Listed as among the most beautiful historical residences in Roberval, its architecture is of Monumental American Style, which was characteristic of the last middle-century's prestigious homes.

It was originally owned by Dr. Adrien Plante, an ophthalmologist who was involved for almost half a century in the community of Roberval.
