La Brise du Lac'
is located in a tranquil setting and is conveniently located near the
centre of the town, with access to the the marina and the municipal beach
close by. The history of Roberval can be easily explored either on foot or
by bike, with many places where one can stop to rest, have picnic, enjoy a
coffee or simply take in the view of Lac Saint Jean.
Built in the 1940s
'La Brise du Lac' is a quaint representation of this period and down
through the years the house has retained much of its historical cachet.
With solid-wood floors, fine woodwork, a stone fireplace and nine foot
ceilings, this guesthouse will charm you and make you feel at home. Listed
as among the most beautiful historical residences in Roberval, its
architecture is of Monumental American Style, which was
characteristic of the last middle-century's prestigious homes.
It
was originally owned by Dr. Adrien Plante, an ophthalmologist who was
involved for almost half a century in the community of Roberval. His motto
was "Do what you do as well as you can, for the greatest pleasure of
your fellow citizens!"; we try to apply this rule as best as we can,
for the greatest pleasure of our guests!
